¿Te gustan los cuentos? a mí me encantan. Disfruto conocer cuentos antiguos y también de todas partes del mundo. Además de entretener, transmiten visiones propias de las cultura y enseñanzas.
Hay uno que me ha quedado grabado. Es una historia popular de Camboya que trata sobre un papá, un hijo y un pequeño burro en su camino al mercado del pueblo.
En un comienzo, como el burro era pequeño y no podía cargar mucho peso, y no querían que el burro perdiera peso en el camino, pues perdería valor, decidieron que la mejor forma para trasladarlo era cargándolo en sus hombros colgado de un palo.
A poco andar, personas en el camino se rieron de ellos. Avergonzados, decidieron que el papá cargaría los paquetes y riendas y el hijo, que era más pequeño y delgado, iría sobre el burro.
Luego de un rato, encontraron otras personas en el camino que los criticaron. Esta vez, llamaron al hijo malagradecido por dejar que su padre caminara, mientras él iba sobre el burro… y así transcurrió el viaje, cada vez que alguien se burlaba de ellos o eran criticados, hacían cambios. Hasta que finalmente, volvieron a cargarlo… esta vez, en sus brazos.
Al ser criticados una vez más y por última vez, el padre desesperado dijo que no sabía cómo satisfacer a todos ni cómo continuar su camino. Ese es el fin de la historia.
¿Cuál es la enseñanza? ¿Te parece que esta historia tiene una visión especial? quizás propia de su cultura.

Do you like tales? I love them. I enjoy knowing ancient stories and from all over the world too. Besides entertaining, they transmit cultural visions and lessons.
There is one that got stucked in my mind. It’s a Cambodian folk story about a father, a son and a little donkey on their way to the village market.
At first, as the donkey was small and couldn’t carry much on his back, and as they didn’t want it to lose weight on the way, because it would lose value, they decided that the best way to take it over to the market, was by carrying it on its shoulders hanging from a pole.
After a little walking, people on the road laughed at them. Embarrassed, they decided that the father would carry the packages and reins and the boy, who was smaller and thinner, would go on the donkey.
After a while, they found other people on the road who criticized them. This time, they called the boy ungrateful for letting his father walk, while he rode the donkey … and so the trip went, every time someone mocked them or they were criticized, they made changes. Until finally, they went back to carrying the donkey… but this time with their own arms.
When criticized once again and for last time, the father desperate said he did not know how to satisfy everyone or how to continue on the journey. That is the end of the story.
What is the lesson? Has this story a special vision? perhaps is part of its culture.
