Hola, ¿cómo estás?
Volví a pintar con materiales inusuales, cosa que disfruto muchísimo. Pinté bolsas de algodón con café más color cobre y negro. En cada bolsa, hacía una o más marcas de café ayudándome con una taza y dependiendo de lo que la mancha me evocaba, yo la intervenía quedando un diseño figurativo y/o abstracto. Me encantó… siempre me han gustado los trabajos en los que lo creativo, lúdico y el azar convergen.
Estas bolsas fueron parte de un regalo especial que Starbucks Reserve preparó para sus invitados en Santiago, Chile. Pinté muuuuchas bolsas en mi taller y, además, en dos de los eventos que Starbucks tuvo la semana pasada. Fue muy entretenido pintar mientras estos se desarrollaban, porque las personas se acercaban, me hacían comentarios y se entusiasmaban por la materialidad y el proceso que estaba delante de ellos.

Hi, how are you?
Just went back to painting with unusual materials, which I enjoy very much. I painted cotton bags with coffee plus copper and black color. For each bag, I made one or more coffee stains with a cup and depending on what the stain evoked to me, later I intervened it creating a figurative and / or abstract design. I loved it… have always liked to work in projects where creativity, playfulness and randomness converge.
These cotton bags were part of a special gift Starbucks Reserve prepared for its guests in Santiago, Chile. I painted sooo many bags at my workshop and also in two of the events that Starbucks held last week. It was awesome to paint while these were held, because the people approached, they made comments to me and they were excited by the materiality and the process that was in front of them.
